Brake Vacuum Pump - 3.5L EcoBoost (235kW/320PS): Installation

NOTE: Make sure the oil tube filter screen is free of contaminants prior to the installation of the pump or damage to components may occur.
Inspect the gasket and the oil tube filter screen. Install a new gasket as necessary.

NOTE: If the brake vacuum pump is not secured within 10 minutes of sealant application, the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with metal surface prep. Failure to follow this procedure can cause future oil leakage.NOTE: Make sure the mating surfaces are clean and free of foreign material.
Clean the surface with the specified cleaner and apply an 8mm bead of the specified sealant in the location shown.
Material: Motorcraft® Metal Surface Prep Wipes / ZC-31-B
Material: Motorcraft® High Performance Engine RTV Silicone / TA-357 (WSE-M4G323-A6)

NOTE: Manually align the brake vacuum pump drive key with the camshaft slot before installation.
Install the brake vacuum pump and tighten the 3 bolts in 2 stages.
Torque: Stage 1: 89 lb.in (10 Nm) Stage 2: 45 deg.
- Connect the vacuum tube making sure the coupling locks to the brake vacuum pump.
- Install the RH valve cover. Refer to: Valve Cover RH .
