DTC P042F - EGR A Control Stuck Closed

P042F - EGR A CONTROL STUCK CLOSED

Description:  This DTC sets when the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) setpoint is more than a specified threshold, the actual EGR position is less than a specified threshold, and the EGR control limit is more than a specified limit.
Possible Causes: 
  • Damaged EGR valve
  • VREF circuit open
  • SIGRTN circuit open
  • EGRVP circuit open
  • EGRVP circuit short to voltage
  • EGRVP circuit short to ground
Diagnostic Aids: 
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST KD .
