Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC): Removal

NOTE: If installing a new IPC, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the IPC. This information must be downloaded into the new IPC after installation.
Upload the module configuration information from the IPC into the scan tool by following the scan tool on screen instructions. Record the odometer value from the original IPC. If the odometer value cannot be obtained from the IPC (display failure), perform the diagnostic routine. If the value cannot be obtained after the diagnostic routine, the customer should supply the approximate odometer value.
- Position the steering column in the full forward/down position.

- Rotate the steering wheel 90 degrees to the right.
- Release the RH retainer. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
- Rotate the steering wheel 180 degrees to the left.
- Release the LH retainer. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

- Release the front clip.
- Rotate and detach the rear clip.
- Slide the upper steering column shroud forward and remove.
- Slide the instrument panel trim panel rearward to unclip and remove.
- Remove the retainers, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the IPC.

NOTE: This step is only required when replacing with new component.
Remove the screw.
