Removal And Installation: Liftgate: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors and detach the retainers.

  3. On both sides.

    1. Remove the grommet.
    2. Route the harness out of the liftgate.

  4. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.

    On both sides.

    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Position aside the liftgate strut.

  5. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.

    Remove the bolts and the liftgate.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
