Pinpoint Test G : The Windshield Washer Is Inoperative Or Always On: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

REFER to: Wipers and Washers - System Operation and Component Description .

Possible Causes 

• Fuse
• Wiring, terminals or connectors
• Incorrect washer solvent type
• Windshield washer jet
• Washer pump
• Wiper/washer switch
• SASM
• BCM

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

• Inspect the BCM fuses 77 (20A) and 82 (20A) and make sure they are OK.
• Inspect the washer solvent for the correct type.
• Inspect the wiper/washer switch for damage.
