Ignition Switch: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
  2. Position the steering column in the full forward/down position.

  3. Rotate the steering wheel and release the retainers. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

    1. Release the front clip.
    2. Rotate and detach the rear clip.
    3. Slide the upper steering column shroud forward and remove.

  5. Remove the retainers and the lower steering column shroud.

    1. Push the ignition switch tab and disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.
    2. Push the ignition switch tabs and remove the ignition switch.
