Turbocharger Oil Supply Tube - LH: Removal

NOTE: Whenever turbocharger air intake system components are removed, always cover open ports to protect from debris. It is important that no foreign material enter the system. The turbocharger compressor vanes are susceptible to damage from even small particles. All components should be inspected and cleaned, if necessary, prior to installation or reassembly.
  1. Remove the oil filler cap and then remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap.

  2. Detach the Heated Oxygen Sensor(HO2S) wire retainer.

  3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and then remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

  4. Remove and discard the turbocharger oil supply tube bolt, then position the turbocharger oil supply tube out of the way.

  5. Remove and discard the turbocharger oil supply tube linked sealing washer and the turbocharger oil supply tube filter.

  6. Detach the wiring harness retainer.

  7. Remove the engine appearance cover mounting ball stud. Detach the wiring harness retainer.

  8. Detach the HO2S electrical connector retainer. Remove the turbocharger oil supply tube bracket retaining nut.

  9. Remove the turbocharger oil supply tube secondary latch.

  10. Using a Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool, remove the turbocharger oil supply tube from the quick connect fitting. Refer to Fuel System - General Information
