Pinpoint Test O : The Heated Wiper Park Feature Is Always On

  1. O1 CHECK THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST OPERATION

    • Start the vehicle.

    Is the rear window defrost active? 

    Yes  REFER to: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms .
    No  GO to  O2

  2. O2 CHECK THE HEATED WIPER PARK RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Disconnect Heated Windshield Element C1531.

    • Remove the heated wiper park relay

    • Connect:
      Lead 1 Measurement / Action Lead 2

    • Start the vehicle.

    Does the test light illuminate? 

    Yes  REPAIR the circuit.
    No  INSTALL a new heated wiper park relay.
