Heater Hoses: Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
  2. Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect the heater hoses and detach the hose retainer. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

    • Loosen the clamps and remove the nuts.

      Torque

      : 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

    • Release the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

    • Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 4. Disconnect the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

    • Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor electrical connectors.

    • Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 7. Disconnect the PCV hose. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

    • Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector and remove the air cleaner outlet pipe assembly.

  3. Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect and remove the heater inlet hose. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

  4. Release the clamps and remove the heater outlet hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
