Cylinder Block Thermostat: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the generator. Refer to: Generator - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS) .
Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

NOTE: Make sure that new O-ring seals are installed.

Remove the bolts and the cylinder block thermostat. Discard the O-ring seals.

Torque

: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
