Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Center Antenna: Removal

Vehicles with automatic transmission 

  1. Remove the selector lever trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

    All vehicles 

  2. Remove the floor console upper trim panel.

    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    Vehicles with automatic transmission 

  3. Remove the selector lever finish panel.

    • Disconnect the electrical connectors. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

    Vehicles with manual transmission 

  4. Remove the selector lever knob.

  5. Remove the selector lever finish panel.

    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    All vehicles 

  6. Remove the RH cover and bolt.

    Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

  7. Remove the RH floor console front trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  8. Remove the LH cover and bolt.

    Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

  9. Remove the LH floor console front trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  10. Remove the floor console rear trim panel.

    • Disconnect the electrical connector. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  11. Remove the RH floor console rear side trim panel. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  12. Remove the LH floor console rear side trim panel.

    1. Position the parking brake lever boot upward.
    2. Rotate the parking brake lever boot so that it fits through the opening in the floor console upper finish panel.

  13. Remove the screws and the floor console upper finish panel.

    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  14. Remove the nuts and the PATS center antenna.
