D-Pillar Trim Panel: Removal

NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the C-pillar lower trim panel. Refer to: C-Pillar Lower Trim Panel .
  2. If equipped. Remove the storage tray.

  3. Position rear outer seatbelt aside.

    1. NOTE: D-ring bolt cover does not fully remove from the seatbelt.

      Position D-ring bolt cover up.

    2. Remove the D-ring bolt.

      Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  4. Release the D-pillar clips.

  5. NOTE: The D-pillar trim panel must be positioned downward to allow the upper clip to release correctly. Failure to follow this direction may cause damage to the D-pillar trim panel.

    Slide the D-pillar trim panel down, aligning the upper clip to the slot in the sheet metal.

  6. Remove the D-pillar trim panel.

    1. RH side only. Rotate the socket and position the interior loadspace lamp aside.
