Rear Lower Arm: Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. NOTE: Tighten the suspension bushing fasteners with the suspension loaded or with the weight of the vehicle resting on the wheels and tires, otherwise incorrect clamp load and bushing damage may occur.
    NOTE: Make sure that the ball joint ball does not rotate.

    1. Install the rear lower arm-to-subframe and press the rear lower arm to wheel knuckle.
    2. Install the rear lower arm-to-wheel knuckle new nut.

      Torque: Stage 1: 177 lb.in (20 Nm) Stage 2: 90 deg.

    3. Install the rear lower arm-to-subframe new bolt.

      Torque: Stage 1: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm) Stage 2: 90 deg.

  3. Check and if necessary adjust rear toe. Refer to: Rear Toe Adjustment - AWD .
