Selector Lever Knob: Removal

All vehicles 

  1. Apply the parking brake.

  2. Position the selector lever in S.

    Selector lever knobs with a SelectShift® switch 

  3. Remove the selector lever bezel trim ring. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  4. Detach the trim ring and the HVAC control module, disconnect the HVAC control module electrical connectors and remove the trim ring and the HVAC control module as an assembly. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  5. Remove the selector lever finish panel and disconnect the electrical connectors. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

  6. Disconnect the LED strip electrical connector.

  7. Unsnap and position aside the selector lever bezel.

  8. Disconnect the SelectShift® switch electrical connector.

    All vehicles 

  9. Remove the selector lever knob screw cover.

  10. Remove the screws and the selector lever knob.
