Intake Manifold: Installation

NOTE: If the engine is repaired or replaced because of upper engine failure, typically including valve or piston damage, check the intake manifold for metal debris. If metal debris if found, install a new intake manifold. Failure to follow these instructions can result in engine damage.NOTE: If throttle body and adapter have been removed during engine front cover removal, they will be installed following the engine front cover procedure.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.
Install the intake manifold, studs and the bolts finger tight.
- Tighten the intake manifold studs and the bolts in sequence shown.
Torque 1-10: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Tighten the intake manifold to throttle body clamp.
Torque 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
