Condenser Outlet Line - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW 125PS): Removal

NOTE: During the removal of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove protective materials prior to installation.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging - Vehicles With: R134A Refrigerant .
  2. With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  3. If equipped, remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

  4. Remove the condenser outlet line nut.

    • Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.

      Torque

      159 lb.in (18 Nm)

  5. Remove the engine appearance cover.

  6. Release the tabs and position the degas bottle aside.

  7. NOTE: Some components removed for clarity.

    • Release the condenser outlet line to frame retainers.

    • Remove the condenser outlet line nut and remove the condenser outlet line. Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.

      Torque

      71 lb.in (8 Nm)
