Condenser - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW 125PS): Removal

NOTE:
During the removal of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove protective materials prior to installation.

- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging - Vehicles With: R134A Refrigerant .
- Remove the A/C compressor outlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
Torque
159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
- With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- If equipped, remove the bolts and the underbody shield.
- Remove the condenser outlet line nut.
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
Torque
159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Remove the radiator. Refer to: Radiator .
