Cooler Bypass Valve - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW 125PS): Removal

- With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler tubes bracket bolt.
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler tubes secondary latches.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission fluid cooler-to-cooler bypass valve tubes from the cooler bypass valve. Use Special Service Tool: 307-569 Disconnect Tool TOC Line (1/2).
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Completely loosen the transmission-to-cooler bypass valve tubes from the cooler bypass valve. Remove the transmission warmer-to-cooler bypass valve tube bolt and the tube.
- Remove the bolt and the cooler bypass valve.
