Front Seat Lumbar Assembly: Removal

Lumbar adjuster 

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .
  2. Adjust the manual lumbar to the fully relaxed position.

    • If equipped with recline handle. Remove the clip and the recline handle.

    • If equipped with height adjuster. Release the retaining tab and remove the height adjuster handle.

    • Release the retainer and remove the manual lumbar handle.

    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Lift the rear of the side shield up and out.
    3. Slide forward and if equipped with a manual seat track, remove the side shield.

  3. If equipped with power seat. Position the front seat control switch support bracket aside.

    1. Detach the front seat control switch wiring harness.
    2. Remove the screws.

  4. If equipped with power seat. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the side shield.

  5. Remove the lumbar adjuster.

    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Detach the lumbar adjuster cable retainer.
    3. Detach the lumbar adjuster cable.

    Lumbar assembly 

  6. Remove the front seat backrest cover and foam. Refer to: Front Seat Backrest Cover .
  7. Detach the lumbar cable pin-type retainer and position the lumbar cable aside.

  8. Detach the J-hooks and remove the front seat lumbar assembly.
