High-Pressure Fuel Pump Drive Unit: Removal

- Remove the high-pressure fuel pump. Refer to: High-Pressure Fuel Pump .

- During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
- Disconnect the vacuum tube quick release couplings and position out of the way. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

- During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
- Release the hose retainer. Disconnect the quick release couplings, then remove the crankcase ventilation tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Remove the wire harness bracket nuts, then position the wire harness and bracket out of the way.
- Remove the fuel supply tube bracket nut, then position the fuel supply tube and bracket out of the way.

- During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
- Remove the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit studbolts and then remove the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit.
