NOTE:
The intermediate shaft seal in the PTU must be replaced whenever the intermediate shaft is removed or a leak may occur. Refer to Intermediate Shaft Seal and Deflector

- Remove the right halfshaft assembly. Refer to Halfshaft -- RH .
- Remove the intermediate shaft retaining nuts.
- Remove the intermediate shaft.
- Remove and discard the intermediate shaft circlip
