Pinpoint Test K : DTC U0155:00
- K1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
Yes GO to K2. No The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - K2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.
- Using a scan tool, perform the network test.
Does the IPC pass the network test?
Yes GO to K3. No REFER to Module Communications Network . - K3 RECHECK THE PAM DTCs
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Operate the system and test the system for normal operation.
- Repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC U0155:00 still present?
Yes GO to K4. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - K4 CHECK FOR DTC U0155 OR DTC U0155:00 IN OTHER MODULES
- Clear all DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self-Test.
- Retrieve the continuous memory DTCs from all modules.
Is DTC U0155 or DTC U0155:00 set in any module?
Yes For vehicles with the police package, INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) . For vehicles without the police package, Refer to IPC Guided Routine Testing . No GO to K5. - K5 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect the PAM connector.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the PAM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new PAM. REFER to Parking Aid - Audible . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
