Condition Possible Sources Action
Hard to open or close door from either door handle Refer to the Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test A .
A door is difficult or does not open from the exterior door handle Refer to the Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test B .
A door is difficult or does not open from the interior door handle Refer to the Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test C .
The exterior door release handle sticks Refer to the Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test D .
The interior door release handle sticks Refer to the Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test E .
The manual interior lock/unlock rod is inoperative Bent or binding lock rod
Door latch		 OPERATE the door lock rod manually while observing the door lock rod for any binding, or if the rod is bent.
If the rod is bent or damaged, REPAIR as necessary.
If the rod is OK, INSTALL a new door latch. REFER to Front Door Latch  or Rear Door Latch .
Squeak-rattle-chucking noise from door Refer to the Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test F .
The manual door lock cylinder is inoperative Refer to the Diagnostic Routine GO to Pinpoint Test G .
