Output Shaft - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT/5.0L Ti-VCT V8 (308kW/418PS): Assembly

NOTE: Lubricate all components with the recommended transmission fluid before reassembling.

Inspect the pocket bearing inner race for damage. If the race is damaged, remove the snap ring and install a new inner bearing race.

Position the 3rd/4th gear synchronizer assembly on the bearing separator and a hydraulic press. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press

NOTE: The synchronizer ring tabs must engage into synchronizer assembly slots or damage to the synchronizer assembly and synchronizer ring can occur.

Install the 3rd gear synchronizer ring and cone.
- Align the synchronizer ring tabs with the synchronizer assembly slots.

Install the 3rd gear needle bearing.

Install the 6th gear. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press

Using the bearing separator and a hydraulic press, install the 3rd/4th gear synchronizer assembly and the 3rd gear. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
