Output Shaft: Disassembly

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: Take note of all components that need to be heated before assembly. Do not heat components above 260 degrees and no longer then 15 minutes.
  1. Remove the snap ring and remove the 5-6 synchronizer hub, sleeve and detents.

  2. Remove the 6th gear 3-piece synchronizer assembly.

  3. Remove 6th gear.

  4. Remove the 6th gear roller bearing.

  5. Using a press and a bearing separator, remove the roller bearing and 1st gear. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator

  6. Remove the 1st gear roller bearing.

  7. Remove the 1st gear 3-piece synchronizer assembly.

  8. Using a press and a bearing separator, remove 2nd gear, the 1-2 synchronizer hub and sleeve and the 1st gear roller bearing inner race. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator

  9. Remove the 2nd gear roller bearing.
