Transmission Fluid Cooler: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.
- Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.
- Remove the LH headlamp assembly. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly - Vehicles With: SVT Performance Package .
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler bracket bolt.
- Remove RH front wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- Remove the pushpins and position the splash shield aside.
- Remove the pushpin and the RH brake cooling pipe.
- Remove the secondary latches.

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tubes. Use Special Service Tool: 307-695 Tool, Quick Disconnect.
- Remove the bolts and the transmission fluid cooler bracket.
- Remove the bolt and the transmission fluid cooler.
