Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes: Installation

- Install the front transmission fluid cooler tubes and install the front transmission fluid cooler tube nut.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Connect the transmission fluid cooler tubes.
- Install the secondary latches.
- Install the RH brake cooling pipe and the pushpin.
- Position the splash shield and install the pushpins.
- Inspect and lubricate the band seals and backing rings.
- Backing ring (7J324).
- Band seal (7D285).
Material: Motorcraft® MERCON® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (WSS-M2C938-A) (MERCON® LV,)
- Install the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes and the bolts.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Connect the transmission fluid temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Install the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes bracket nuts.
- Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes to the front transmission fluid cooler tubes.
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes secondary latches.
- Install the underbody shield and the bolts.
- Install the underbody shield and the bolts.
- Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
