Oil Cooler: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.
- Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.
- Remove the LH wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- Remove the fasteners and the bracket.
- Remove the retainers and the air duct.
- Remove the retainers and position the shield aside.
- Remove the retaining clips and disconnect the oil cooler tubes.
- Remove the fasteners and the oil cooler.

NOTE: If metal or aluminum material is present in the oil cooler, mechanical concerns exist. Failure to correct these concerns may cause engine failure. To diagnose mechanical concerns, refer to Engine .
Inspect the oil cooler.
