Pinpoint Test G : DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) B13F3:96, DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) B13F4:96

- G1 CHECK THE CONTINUOUS AND ON-DEMAND PAM (PARKING ASSIST CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, retrieve the PAM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
Are Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) other than DTC B13F3:96 or DTC B13F4:96 present?
Yes DIAGNOSE all other PAM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) first. REFER to PAM DTC Chart . No GO to G2 - G2 CHECK THE REAR ACTIVE PARK ASSIST SENSOR OPERATION
- Clean the rear bumper and sensors with high-pressure water.
- Make sure the suspect rear active park assist sensor(s) is flush-mounted in the bezel.
- Perform the azimuth system check. REFER to: Azimuth System Check .
Does the system pass the azimuth system check?
Yes The system is operating correctly at this time, the concern may have been caused by a dirty, blocked or incorrectly mounted rear active park assist sensor. No GO to G3 - G3 INSTALL A KNOWN GOOD SENSOR
- Ignition OFF.
- Install a known good sensor for the suspect rear active park assist sensor. REFER to: Rear Active Park Assist Sensors .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the PAM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the self-test.
Is DTC B13F3:96 or DTC B13F4:96 still present?
Yes GO to G4 No INSTALL a new rear active park assist sensor for the suspect sensor. REFER to: Rear Active Park Assist Sensors . - G4 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all BCM connectors and related in-line connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the BCM connectors and related in-line connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, refer to BCM Guided Routine Testing . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
