Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the IPC following the on-screen instructions. Record the odometer value from the original IPC. If the odometer value cannot be obtained from the IPC (display failure), perform the diagnostic routine. If the value cannot be obtained after the diagnostic routine, the customer should supply the approximate odometer value.

  2. Open the stowage box and remove the retainers and the stowage box assembly.

  3. Release the clips and remove the lower steering column opening trim panel.

    1. Remove the bolts.

      Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

    2. Release the clips and remove the steering column opening trim panel.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  4. Remove bolts, release the clips and remove the IPC bezel.

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

  5. Remove the bolts and the IPC

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.
