Exhaust Y-Pipe: Removal

NOTE: Replace all fasteners and gaskets.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
1. Remove and discard the muffler and tailpipe flange nuts. Discard the gasket.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
2. Remove and discard the LH catalytic converter flange nuts. Discard the gasket.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
3. Remove and discard the RH catalytic converter flange nuts. Remove the exhaust Y-pipe.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
