Catalytic Converter: Installation

- Install a new gasket on the turbocharger.
- Position the catalytic converter in the vehicle.
- Install the new catalytic converter nuts.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Install the catalytic converter bracket and the bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Install the catalytic converter bracket through bolt.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- Install the exhaust isolator bracket and bolts to the subframe.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Install the crossmember brace and retainers.
Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)
- If equipped. Install the floor pan under body shields and the retainers.
- Install the catalyst monitor sensor. Refer to: Catalyst Monitor Sensor .
- Install the underbody shields and the retainers.
- Install the underbody shields and the retainers.
- Install the muffler and tailpipe. Refer to: Muffler and Tailpipe .
- Install the HO2S. Refer to: Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) .
- Install the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
- Check the exhaust system for leaks.
