Catalytic Converter: Installation

  1. Install a new gasket on the turbocharger.

  2. Position the catalytic converter in the vehicle.

  3. Install the new catalytic converter nuts.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  4. Install the catalytic converter bracket and the bolts.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  5. Install the catalytic converter bracket through bolt.

    Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

  6. Install the exhaust isolator bracket and bolts to the subframe.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  7. Install the crossmember brace and retainers.

    Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)

  8. If equipped. Install the floor pan under body shields and the retainers.

  9. Install the catalyst monitor sensor. Refer to: Catalyst Monitor Sensor .
  10. Install the underbody shields and the retainers.

  11. Install the underbody shields and the retainers.

  12. Install the muffler and tailpipe. Refer to: Muffler and Tailpipe .
  13. Install the HO2S. Refer to: Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) .
  14. Install the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
  15. Check the exhaust system for leaks.
