Transfer Case Cooler: Installation

- Clean the transfer case cooler surface area.
- Install the new transfer case cooler gasket.
- Clean the transfer case cooler housing.
- Install the transfer case cooler and the transfer case cooler bolts.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Position the transfer case cooler lines and install the transfer case cooler line bolt.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Remove the hose clamps. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)

NOTE: Replace the O-ring before installing the transfer case temperature sensor.
Replace the O-ring and install the transfer case temperature sensor.
Torque: 124 lb.in (14 Nm)
- Clip the transfer case temperature sensor wiring harness back into position.
- Connect the transfer case temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Instal the transfer case temperature sensor heat shield and heat shield bolts.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Fill the transfer case. Refer to: Transfer Case Draining and Filling .
- Remove the RH catalytic converter. Refer to: Catalytic Converter RH .
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
