Install the new compression seal.

NOTE: This is a tight fit, use care to not damage the transmission and PTU mating surfaces.

Install the PTU.

Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)

NOTE: The PTU vent hose should be replaced whenever a new PTU is installed.

Connect the PTU vent hose.

If equipped with PTU cooling system, install the PTU coolant tubes and the bolt.

Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

If equipped with PTU cooling system, connect the PTU temperature sensor.

Connect the PTU temperature sensor. Connect the PTU sensor connector to the bracket.

Using the index mark, position the driveshaft and install the new driveshaft-to-PTU output flange bolts.
Torque: 52 lb.ft (70 Nm)

Fill the PTU fluid. Refer to: Transfer Case Draining and Filling .
Install the catalytic converter RH. Refer to: Catalytic Converter RH .
Install the RH halfshaft. Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - 3.5L Duratec (212kW/278PS), All-Wheel Drive (AWD) .
If equipped with PTU cooling system, fill the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
