Transfer Case Draining and Filling: Filling

- Remove the PTU fill plug.

NOTE: The fill capacity of the PTU is 18 fl oz (530 ml).
Fill the PTU with clean fluid, level with the fill plug opening.
Material: Motorcraft® SAE 75W-140 Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant / XY-75W140-QL (WSL-M2C192-A)
- Install the PTU fill plug.
Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
- If equipped, install the underbody shield.
