Intermediate Shaft Seal: Removal

Remove the RH halfshaft. Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH - 2.7L EcoBoost (238kW/324PS), All-Wheel Drive (AWD) .
Remove the PTU support bracket bolts and the PTU support bracket.

NOTE: This step can be performed through the passenger side wheel opening.

Using the puller, remove and discard the intermediate shaft seal. Use the General Equipment: Slide Hammer Dent Puller

Inspect the intermediate shaft bushing. Replace if necessary. Refer to: Intermediate Shaft Bushing .
