Cooler Bypass Valve: Removal

- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Remove the quick-connect coupling secondary latches.
- Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission cooler tubes from the cooler bypass valve. Use Special Service Tool: 307-569 Disconnect Tool TOC Line (1/2).

NOTE: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
Completely loosen the transmission fluid cooler tube fittings.
- Remove the bolt and the cooler bypass valve.
