Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor: Removal

RH (right-hand) Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensors

- Remove the nut.
  Torque: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)
- Remove the bolt and remove the engine appearance cover.
  Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Remove the RH air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
Remove the RH CAC intake pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
- Disconnect the exhaust CMP sensor electrical connector, remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
  Material: Motorcraft® SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
  
  Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Disconnect the intake CMP sensor electrical connector, remove the retainer and the CMP sensor.
  Material: Motorcraft® SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
  
  Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

LH (left-hand) Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensors
- Remove the nut.
  Torque: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)

- Disconnect the intake CMP sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the exhaust CMP sensor electrical connector.

- Remove the retainer and the intake CMP sensor.
  Material: Motorcraft® SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
  
  Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Remove the retainer and the exhaust CMP sensor.
  Material: Motorcraft® SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W30-QSP (WSS-M2C946-A)
  
  Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
