Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Removal

Left side

Remove the oil fill cap, remove the engine appearance cover retainers and then remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil fill cap.

Disconnect the PCV hose quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

Release the electrical harness retainer from the valve cover. Disconnect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.

NOTE: Use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the ignition coil-on-plugs and surrounding area before removing the ignition coil-on-plugs.

NOTE: When removing the ignition coil-on-plugs, a slight twisting motion will break the seal and ease removal.

Remove the ignition coil-on-plug retaining bolts, then remove the ignition coil-on-plugs.

Right side

NOTE: The upper intake manifold must be removed to access the RH ignition coil-on-plugs.
Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to: Upper Intake Manifold .
Disconnect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.
