Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Installation

Both sides
- Inspect the ignition coil-on-plugs. Replace any damaged ignition coil-on-plugs. Replace any of the ignition coil-on-plug seals or rubber boots with cracks, rips or tears.
Right side

- Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
- Install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug bolts in the following 2 stages.
Torque: Stage 1: 62 lb.in (7 Nm) Stage 2: 48 deg.
- Connect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors.
- Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to: Upper Intake Manifold

Left side

- Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
- Install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug bolts in the following 2 stages.
Torque: Stage 1: 62 lb.in (7 Nm) Stage 2: 48 deg.
- Connect the ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors. Attach the electrical harness retainer to the valve cover.
- Connect the PCV hose quick release coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling
.
- Remove the oil fill cap, install the engine appearance cover and then install the engine appearance cover retainers. Install the oil fill cap.
