Wastegate Control Valve Solenoid: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Refer to: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) .
  3. Remove retainers and the underbody shield.

  4. Disconnect the wastegate control valve solenoid hoses and the wastegate control valve solenoid electrical connector. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  5. Remove the wastegate control valve solenoid retainers and then remove the wastegate control valve solenoid.
