Fuel Rail: Removal

- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to: Upper Intake Manifold .
- Disconnect the fuel rail fuel feed tube spring lock coupling. Refer to: Spring Lock Couplings

- Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Remove the fuel rail retaining bolts and then remove the fuel rail.

- Remove the fuel injector retaining clips.
- Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail.
- Remove and discard all of the fuel injector O-ring seals.
