Throttle Body: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

  3. Loosen Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube clamp and then move the Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube out of the way.

  4. NOTE: When disconnecting the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector disengage the red locking tab on the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector by sliding it to the rear of the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector, away from the Throttle Body (TB). Squeeze the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector while removing.

    Disconnect the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector, then disengage the Throttle Body (TB) wire from the Throttle Body (TB) wire retaining clip.

  5. Remove the Throttle Body (TB) bolts and then remove the Throttle Body (TB).
