Throttle Body: Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
  1. Inspect the Throttle Body (TB) gasket, clean or replace as needed.

  2. Install the Throttle Body (TB) and then install and tighten the Throttle Body (TB) bolts in the sequence shown.

    Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  3. NOTE: When connecting the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector engage the red connector locking tab after fully installing the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector. The red tab will not slide forward unless the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector is fully installed.
    NOTE: When connecting Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector, make sure that the Throttle Body (TB) wiring is properly installed into the Throttle Body (TB) wiring retaining clip.

    Connect the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector.

  4. NOTE: When installing the Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube, make sure that the Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube is fully seated against the hose stops.

    Install the Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube and then tighten the Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube clamp.

    Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

  5. Install the underbody shield and the retainers.
