Thermostat Housing: Removal

- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the engine appearance cover.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
- Release the hose clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

NOTE: Do not pull the other end of the coolant tube out of the engine block when separating the thermostat housing.
Remove the bolts and remove the thermostat housing. Discard the O-ring seal.
- Remove the bolts and remove the thermostat housing. Discard the O-ring seal.
