Thermostat Housing: Installation

- Install a new O-ring seal and lubricate it with clean engine coolant.
Material: Motorcraft® Orange Concentrated Antifreeze/Coolant / VC-3-B (WSS-M97B44-D)
- Install the thermostat housing and tighten the bolts.
- Stage 1
Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- Stage 2
Angle: 90°
- Stage 1
- Connect the coolant hoses and position the hose clamps. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
- Install the engine appearance cover.
- Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
