Radiator Lower Hose: Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
  2. If equipped. Remove the pin-type retainers and the radiator site shield.

    1. Remove the radiator guide pins.
    2. Using cable ties loosely support the cooling module. Use the General Equipment: Cable Ties

  4. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
  5. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose at thermostat housing. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  6. Remove the retainers and the front under body shield.

  7. Remove the retainers and the lower radiator support.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)

  8. Remove the retainers and the RH under body shield.

  9. Detach the pin type retainers and position the lower radiator hose aside.

  10. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  11. Release the clamp and remove the lower radiator hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
