Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
If equipped. Remove the pin-type retainers and the radiator site shield.

If equipped. Remove the pin-type retainers and the radiator site shield.

1. Remove the radiator guide pins.
2. Using cable ties loosely support the cooling module.

Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Disconnect the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector.

Remove the upper cooling fan bolts.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

Remove the retainers and the front under body shield.

Remove the retainers and the lower radiator support.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)

Detach the pin-type retainers and position aside the lower radiator hose.

Remove the lower cooling fan bolts and the cooling fan motor and shroud.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
