Coolant Outlet Connector: Removal

- Remove the fuel rail. Refer to: Fuel Rail .
- Remove the coolant pump. Refer to: Coolant Pump .

- Loosen the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.
- Depress the tabs and disconnect the coolant tube.
- Remove the knock sensor harness retainer from the stud bolt.
- Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Remove the bolts and the coolant outlet connector and inlet pipe assembly. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

NOTE: Note the orientation of the coolant hose clamp and the coolant hose inlet pipe prior to removal.NOTE: DO NOT discard the coolant hose metal sleeve.
Release the hose clamp and remove the coolant hose and coolant inlet pipe assembly.
- Inspect the coolant outlet connector O-ring and replace if necessary.
