Rear Subframe - AWD: Installation

Raise the rear subframe and position it to the vehicle. Use Special Service Tool: 300-OTC1585AE Powertrain Lift. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block

On both sides. Align the reference marks made during removal.

1. Position the rear subframe brackets and install the new rear subframe forward bolts.
  Torque: 129 lb.ft (175 Nm)
2. Install the new rear subframe bracket bolts.
  Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

Install the new rear subframe rearward bolts.
Torque: 129 lb.ft (175 Nm)

Attach the rear differential vent tube under the RH rear wheel arch liner.

Attach the rear differential vent tube to the rear subframe.

Connect the rear differential harness electrical connector.

NOTE: Align the reference mark made during removal.

Position the driveshaft to the rear differential flange.

Install the new driveshaft-to-rear differential flange bolts.
Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

Install the rear air deflectors and the retainers.

Install the rear stabilizer bar. Refer to: Rear Stabilizer Bar .
Install the muffler and tail pipe. Refer to: Muffler and Tailpipe - 2.0L . Refer to: Muffler and Tailpipe - 2.7L . Refer to: Muffler and Tailpipe - 3.5L .
On both sides. Install the rear spring. Refer to: Spring .
On both sides. Install the rear toe link. Refer to: Toe Link .
On both sides. Install he rear halfshaft. Refer to: Rear Halfshaft .
